Description Virophor 2.8% is a stabilised iodophor disinfectant designed for use on surfaces, equipment, water systems, and foot dips in agricultural and livestock environments. It offers broad-spectrum efficacy against bacteria, viruses, and yeasts, and is DEFRA-approved for use against several notifiable diseases. Active Ingredient: Iodine (2.8%) Approved Uses & Dilution Rates: Bovine TB: 1:20 General Orders (e.g. Salmonella): 1:50 Foot & Mouth Disease: 1:550 Swine Vesicular Disease: 1:150 Diseases of Poultry (Newcastle): 1:99 Routine Surface Disinfection: 2% v/v Foot Dip Applications: 2% v/v (replace every 2–3 days or daily if soiled) Application Guidelines Surface Disinfection: Pre-clean surfaces. Apply at 300 ml/m² using a pressure washer or foam lance. Footwear Disinfection: Dip boots in 2% solution for ≥1 minute at ≥10°C. Keep foot dip covered when not in use. Storage: Store below 25°C, away from sunlight, foodstuffs, and animal feed. Shelf life: 24 months. Safety Notes: Use biocides safely. Wear appropriate PPE. Not suitable for general use by untrained personnel due to corrosive nature.
