Description Nemasys L – Vine Weevil Larvae Control (50 Million Pack) (Steinernema kraussei) Vine Weevil (Otiorynchus sulcatus) is one of the most serious pests seen on ornamental nurseries. It is a constant threat, especially in hardy nursery stock, as adults can arrive on-site from any number of sources, including bought-in plants, and establish a population. Once on-site numbers can build rapidly over a year or two, and if not kept in check can cause considerable damage. Nemasys L is a highly effective biological control solution designed to target and eliminate vine weevil larvae in soil or container-grown crops. This product contains beneficial nematodes (Steinernema kraussei) , which actively seek out and infect vine weevil larvae, providing rapid and curative control. Effective Control: Targets and kills vine weevil larvae, preventing root damage and plant loss. Cold-Temperature Tolerant: Functions in soil temperatures as low as 5°C, making it suitable for use in various climates. Long-Lasting: Provides protection for up to 4 weeks after application. Application Rates: Open Ground: 50 million pack treats up to 50m² Pots/Containers: 50 million pack treats up to 100m² Usage Instructions: Prepare Stock Solution: Suspend one 50 million tray of Nemasys L in 10 litres of water in a clean bucket. Agitate the stock solution. Dilution: For open soil: Mix 1 part stock solution with 19 parts water. For pots/containers: Mix 1 part stock solution with 39 parts water. Application: Keep the solution agitated and apply immediately at a rate of 4 litres per square metre. If using a knapsack sprayer, remove the filters. Storage: Keep Nemasys L in the fridge at 4-5°C. Use the entire pack in one go, and check the expiry date marked on the package. Apply Nemasys L when vine weevil larvae are present in the soil, typically between March-May and again in August-October, although additional treatments may be needed for heated or protected crops. Ensure the soil is moist before application and avoid direct sunlight.
